Drone Takeover

This week I will be talking about something that has become huge in my field of videography. Drones. They are used throughout so many different kinds of media these days. They are used for news, weddings, realty, and more. I love to make outdoor videos. Fly-fishing is my main passion. Furthermore, I love to make and watch fly-fishing videos. Lately, many people have been using drones to film parts of their fly fishing videos. Sometimes people go a little over the top and sometimes people use them with great taste. I recently learned how to fly a drone. I can see why people use them so much. Drones are relatively user friendly and create amazing shots. Moreover, the possibilities are endless while using a drone.

I have a buddy who works for a company that sells yachts. He was recently hired as head of marketing and media. For his job, he gets to go out on million dollar yachts and get footage. With that being said, he still has to sit in an office and he also edits all the videos. But driving around the ocean on amazing boats sounds awesome. He is going to teach me more about flying drones and good ways to get great shots. Being able to fly a drone would be a awesome skill to put on my resume these days.

Drones are also coming into handy with land surveying. Companies are able to survey up to a square kilometer is a short amount of time. Drones can also survey land fifty times faster than ground-based land surveying. This can also be done without a ground-based survey team, which saves money. Surveying land also improves safety. Some areas of land are dangerous and hazardous areas. Drones take away the need for that ground-based team to be in any danger.

In conclusion, having the capability to fly and use a drone can help with many things. Drones can get amazing shots that otherwise would need a helicopter. They also help get a better view of land. Once again, the possibilities are endless. I understand that surveying land isn't exactly what I set out to do. I'm just aware of the fact that drones are popular and can be used to make good amounts of extra money in multiple different ways.
